Fitting & Second Fix
With 25 years experience, our dedicated team of trained fitters will be happy to deliver and install your new box sash windows and any second fix that may be required. Whilst we offer a supply-only option, most clients prefer that we oversee all elements including transport, fitting and second fix, giving Sash Restoration Co. complete responsibility for delivering the project to the client’s satisfaction.
As standard, we deconstruct and carefully package all window components and securely transport them to site. During the fitting process we first sheet and protect, internal fittings and furniture, then carefully remove original windows from the opening, with subsequent disposal offsite. We then fit the fully painted box frame, secure it to the structural opening, weather proof and seal the box frame to the exterior.
Our second fix service includes options for architraves and inner sills, solid reveals, panelled reveals and folding shutter systems, as required. Finally, we introduce counterbalance weights and cords, hang the fully painted sash frames, fit all beading, security locks etc., and set the windows to good working order.
